Your knitted garment, created in full

From the design office sketch to the choice of fibres, from electronic knitting to final treatments: one in-house production cycle at your brand's service.

What it means

A product entirely to specification

In alcostricot's private label the product is created in full: nothing is taken from an existing catalogue. The client brand brings an idea, a reference or a technical sheet; the company develops the garment, defines the construction, sources the yarns and runs every stage through to delivery.

The garment belongs exclusively to the brand that commissioned it, as do the knit stitches developed at its request.

The stages

From sketch to finished garment

01

Design office

The garment starts from the sketch: line, proportions, details and technical sheets, developed on the client brand's brief.

02

Fibre selection

Yarns selected for handfeel, performance and end use: from polyester to cashmere and silk, mainly noble fibres.

03

Stitch development

Research and fine-tuning of new knit stitches, proposed to clients each season as a basis for new collections.

04

Knitting

Knitting on latest-generation electronic knitting machines, both short and wide, with gauges 3, 5, 7, 12, 14 and 18.

05

Making-up

Fully fashioned and cut-and-sew garments, assembled and finished according to the chosen construction.

06

Special techniques

Embroidered garments and pieces enriched with heat-applied materials, for distinctive details on knitwear.

07

Treatments

Treatments and washes carried out to the highest standards of health and environmental protection.

08

Quality control

Inspection of the finished garment before delivery, to the standards agreed with the client.

Special techniques

Details that set the garment apart

Knitted garments can carry techniques that define their character: tonal or contrast embroidery and heat-applied materials, integrated into the construction from the development stage.

Every technique is tested on the selected yarn, to verify durability and appearance after treatments.

For hotels, spas, thermal baths and marinas

Continuity Program

The same production cycle, in a formula built for hospitality properties: an own-label collection with a minimum order of fifty garments per model, across five sizes and two colours.
